Who We Are

The apostle Paul wrote to believers in the city of Corinth:

“No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived, what God has prepared for those that love Him.” 1 Cor.2:9

Come…Celebrate the Promise! That is what we are inviting people to do. The promise is not something that we have to give to people, but something we want to share with people. As Paul was writing the above words to the people he was trying to remind them of the great things God had done for their forefathers, and that God is still with them working in their lives. That promise is still good for us today! God is alive and wanting, willing, and able to be there for us if we choose to allow Him to be involved in our lives. That is the PROMISE , the message we want to share with everyone.

Our focus here at WCC is Christ. He is the head of our church and He is the reason we come together each Sunday, to Celebrate what He has done for us and what He is still wanting to do in our lives. His word is our final authority in our church and our lives. Our goal is to try and grow each and every day to be more like Christ. We also seek to help others come to know who Christ is and to make a commitment in their lives to get to know and understand Him.

We are a body of believers trying to become what Christ wants us to be and we do this by continually looking at ourselves and evaluating where we are and what things we may need to change or improve on. We realize growth and change are a part of all healthy living organisms and if we want our church to stay healthy it must continue to have change take place. We are committed to being relevant to all generations and in order to do this we realize our methods may change but our message will always be the same.

We are thankful you have taken the time to see what we are about, and we would welcome any and all questions you may have about the church and why we do what we do. In no way do we claim to be perfect or have all the answers. We are growing ourselves and we would love to have you come and grow and learn with us!

I know Christ promised that those who seek Him shall find Him; those who ask, will receive; and for those who knock, the door will be opened. (Matthew 7:7) We are claiming the promise that God is willing to do great things through us and we cannot wait to see what He has prepared for us, and you too!
