Ministry Team

Our leadership team recognizes the authority of God, and realizes that we are shepherds who serve under the Chief Shepherd, Jesus Christ. We desire to devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the Word. Our passion and goal is to equip the believers for the work of the ministry until we all attain maturity in the fullness of Christ.

Dave, Senior Minister

My family and I are originally from Iowa (Go Hawkeyes! ). After almost 20 years in youth ministry I slid my chair over to the senior minister position and we moved to Williamsville in October of 2001, where I became the Senior Minister at Williamsville Christian Church.

Both Melinda and I graduated from Pacific Christian College in Fullerton, CA., now called Hope International. Shortly after graduating we decided we liked each other enough to get married and spend the rest of our lives together. We are blessed to have two great looking boys, Kyle & Tyler. Melinda is a school bus driver, helps out with the women’s ministry at the church and keeps our home running smoothly. We love to travel and see God’s great creation whenever we get the chance.

If you would like to reach Dave you can do so by calling the church office at 217-566-3381 or emailing him at dmbeals@hotmail.com.

Thanks for taking a moment to get to know a little about us. I hope one day we will get the chance to get to know you and your family!

God Bless,

Dave, Melinda, Kyle & Tyler

Tre Schlief, Youth Minister, & His Wife Tatiana

We both grew up in rural southern Illinois.  We met at Oil Belt Christian Church Camp in Jr. High.  We grew up playing and loving sports all the way from the Bulls, Blackhawks and Cubs, to the Chiefs and the Steelers!  I am a 2010 graduate from Altamont while my wife is a 2011 graduate from Effingham. After High School, I went to St. Louis Christian College and graduated in 2014 with degrees in Youth Ministry and Bible while Tatiana went to Lincoln Christian University and will be a 2015 graduate with a degree in Missions. After spending a year and a half apart, we finally got married in December 2014.

We are simple people who love to meet new people and listen to everyone’s story. Simple people need simple mottos like this: “Love God, love others”, and that is what we strive to do everyday.

Thank you for taking time to get to know us, and we look forward to getting to know you as well.

God Bless,

Tre and Tatiana

Scarlett Lee-Burba, Children’s Minister, & Her Husband Blake

We’re both originally from central Illinois. He from Springfield, and I from Riverton, never meeting until we were 27 in 2013. We were in our friend’s wedding he a groomsmen and I bridesmaid, yes that really does happen. We got married in May 2015. He’s a Cub fan and I’m a Packers…. we make it work. After High School I went to LLCC for Hospitality but having heard God’s call I switched majors for Children’s Ministry/Missions and started going to LCU in 2008. Due to health issues I left school in 2010, and started the Full-time workforce. I’ve always been very active in my home church and for 8 years lead different children’s ministry events, taught Sunday School, directed Christmas programs, etc.. I’m going back to school this spring to finish my degree in Children’s Ministry to better myself and our growing Children’s program here at Williamsville.

We’re fun nerdy people, we love Doctor Who and making new friends. Can’t wait to meet all of you and to experience the Blessing that are your children.

God Bless and see you Sunday,

Blake and Scarlett

Lydia Beard, Worship Minister

I am originally from Jacksonville, Illinois. During high school, I volunteered at First Christian Church of Jacksonville as the youth worship leader from 2013-2015. After my junior year, I graduated and spent my senior year as a Rotary foreign exchange student in Bruchsal, Germany. I am currently studying Worship Ministry and Intercultural Studies at Lincoln Christian University. Being the Worship Minister at WCC has truly changed my life and I am so blessed to get the opportunity to serve here! I am a music loving, Germany obsessed, soccer fanatic, and dog loving (especially my dog, Luna) individual. Have questions, feel free to ask!

“I leave the 99 every time to find the 1.”

See you Sunday!
