Ministry Team

Our leadership team recognizes the authority of God, and realizes that we are shepherds who serve under the Chief Shepherd, Jesus Christ. We desire to devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the Word. Our passion and goal is to equip the believers for the work of the ministry until we all attain maturity in the fullness of Christ.

Dave, Senior Minister

My family and I are originally from Iowa (Go Hawkeyes!). After almost 20 years in youth ministry I slid my chair over to the senior minister position and we moved to Williamsville in October of 2001, where I became the Senior Minister at Williamsville Christian Church.

Both Melinda and I graduated from Hope International (Pacific Christian College) in Fullerton, CA. Shortly after graduating we decided we liked each other enough to get married and spend the rest of our lives together. We are blessed to have two great sons Kyle and his wife Nicole and Tyler. Melinda is a school bus driver and an aid for the local school district, helps out with different ministries at the church and keeps our home running smoothly. We love to travel and see God’s great creation whenever we get the chance.

If you would like to reach Dave you can do so by calling the church office at 217-566-3381 or emailing him at dmbeals@hotmail.com

Thanks for taking a moment to get to know a little about us. I hope one day we will get the chance to get to know you and your family!

God Bless,
Dave, Melinda, Kyle and Tyler

Austin Lamb, Youth & Young Adult Minister

Austin and his wife, Hannah

Both my wife and I graduated from Central Christian College of the Bible with ministry degrees and it is our goal to teach the youth at WCC how to navigate through the rough seas of adolescence by having their identity anchored firmly in Christ. At WCC you can expect your teen/young adult to experience solid, passionate, and relevant teachings from Scripture and friends to encourage them along the way in their relational voyage with Christ. We strive to not only teach through scripture but also through our lives as come alongside the youth in their everyday lives and schedule. I am blessed to have the opportunity to be a mentor and constant source of encouragement to the youth here at WCC. Couple WCC’s youth ministry program with your Godly parenting and your teenager’s course is set to experience a transformative and safe place to build relationships with both Christ and others.

Feel free to always contact me if you have additional questions at Austinhhlb16@gmail.com or call the church office.

In Christ,
Austin & Hannah

Scarlett Lee-Burba, Children’s Minister

Scarlett, her husband, Blake, and their daughter, Eowyn

We’re both originally from central Illinois. He from Springfield, and I from Riverton, never meeting until we were 27 in 2013. We were in our friend’s wedding he a groomsmen and I bridesmaid, yes that really does happen. We got married in May 2015. He’s a Cub fan and I’m a Packers…. we make it work. After High School I went to LLCC for Hospitality but having heard God’s call I switched majors for Children’s Ministry/Missions and started going to LCU in 2008. Due to health issues I left school in 2010, and started the Full-time workforce. I’ve always been very active in my home church and for 8 years lead different children’s ministry events, taught Sunday School, directed Christmas programs, etc.. I’m going back to school this Fall to finish my degree in Children’s Ministry to better myself and our growing Children’s program here at Williamsville.

We’re fun nerdy people, we love Doctor Who and making new friends. Can’t wait to meet all of you and to experience the Blessing that are your children.

God bless and see you Sunday,
Blake and Scarlett

Lydia Beard, Worship Minister

Lydia

I am originally from Jacksonville, Illinois. During high school, I volunteered at First Christian Church of Jacksonville as the youth worship leader from 2013-2015. After my junior year, I graduated and spent my senior year as a Rotary foreign exchange student in Bruchsal, Germany. I am currently studying Worship Ministry and Intercultural Studies at Lincoln Christian University. Being the Worship Minister at WCC has truly changed my life and I am so blessed to get the opportunity to serve here! I am a music loving, Germany obsessed, soccer fanatic, and dog loving (especially my dog, Luna) individual. Have questions, feel free to ask!
